My name is Len Vorster. Welcome to my website!
2013 promises to be an exciting musical year for me - there are recordings, concerts, tours and teaching. I am particularly happy to work on a recording project with soprano Vivien Hamilton - Six Degrees of Separation, music from the French group Les Six plus friends. In February I tour a new show for Promac Productions “Melba & Moncrieff” (with Alison Rae Jones, Angela Hogan and Chris McKenna). This is followed by another Promac tour in April “Two Hands Four Grands”. This allows me to explore (with pianist Linda O’Brien) the wonderful world of two-piano repertoire. In June I revisit the successful 2012 production of “The Merry Bronhill” with a tour in Queensland. There are further recitals with Japanese soprano Natsuko Mineghishi, a duet recital with Alison Rae Jones and Caroline Vercoe, and concert/recording with Vivien Hamilton, flautist Mardi McSullea and cellist Lachlan Dent.
Whether performing solo or in collaboration with other respected artists, teaching one to one or in a masterclass situation, piano is the centre of my existence and I remain as passionate about it today as when I began my career over 30 years ago!
For ensemble and soloist accompaniment, recording, teaching and masterclasses please contact me with any enquiries.
As a pianist my repertoire spans many centuries through to contemporary compositions. I welcome new musical challenges and enjoy playing for audiences in all sorts of environments.

Accompanying singers and instrumentalists, and performing in ensembles, is an important and rewarding part of my work. I enjoy the energy of collaboration and playing in a great variety of styles.
Teaching is an important part of my working life – at Melbourne and Monash Universities, VCASS and privately. It is an honour to share my knowledge and experience with students and, as a musician, we certainly never stop learning from each other!
I regularly record with well known soloists as well as
releasing my own piano solo albums.
All of the albums I have been involved with can be ordered by contacting me.
